Syracuse University, Syracuse, NY
Envisioned as a “Law College Building for the 21st Century,” this project involved the expansion and renovation of three existing law school buildings. The goals were to:
- Create dynamic, state-of-the-art teaching space
- Integrate technology throughout the facility
- Provide attractive student-centered areas
- Tie into the overall campus
To accomplish this, a new 50,000 gsf building was connected to the existing complex via a two-story “link”. The new building contains classrooms, moot courts, law clinic, and student organization offices. Above the link is an arcaded walkway that connects the new building to the existing complex. The existing buildings were completely re-organized and renovated to seamlessly create one unified law school facility.
ASG's services included programming; development of the design concept with recommended strategies to meet program needs; contract documents; and construction administration.
