Baltimore

The Hopkins School of Nursing is one of the few freestanding buildings on the dense health sciences campus, an intentional affirmation of the importance of the profession. It also is a presence on a major southbound Baltimore street and faces the primary entrance to the world-famous Johns Hopkins Hospital. However, the ASG design reinforces the school's administrative independence from the other medical center entities.

Aside from advanced teaching and research spaces, the facility features large windows allowing natural light into to numerous interior venues for formal and informal gatherings. The student dining area is adjacent to a landscaped courtyard, which is a retreat from the demands of an urban health complex.

All public functions are on the main level and all classes, labs, and offices are above.
