College of New Jersey, Trenton

The School of Nursing building serves multiple purposes in addition to supporting classroom and clinical nursing programs. With its broad entryway and landscaped lawn, it is the focal point at the campus entry, as well as meeting and support space for the Board of Trustees and the place for student interviews and orientation.

The Georgian architectural character is in keeping with the campus vernacular. For the school, that means clinical laboratories and classrooms; an eight-bed hospital simulation suite; outpatient simulation center; classrooms of varying sizes; media resource center; computer laboratory with interactive instruction stations; and offices, storage, laundry, and support spaces.

The building also provides conference and meeting rooms as well as a dining facility.

Ayers/Saint/Gross was design architect in association with Kehrt, Shatken, Sharon Architects.
