Renovation and Addition
Shepherd College, Shepherdstown, WVA
When the 1940-era Snyder Hall no longer met safety, code, and handicapped accessibility standards, the College hired Ayers/Saint/Gross to design a facility to house its degree programs in biology, chemistry, mathematics, and the two-year pre-engineering program.
The two-phase project includes a new building adjacent to Snyder Hall for teaching and research. The first phase accommodates faculty offices, seminar rooms, research greenhouses, and teaching, computer, and research labs. The second phase provides teaching labs, and Snyder was renovated for classrooms and offices.
