Berea, Ohio

The master plan for Baldwin-Wallace addresses short-term concerns and supports its long-term vision of remaining "a top liberal arts college with a personal touch."

Projects proposed by ASG's plan reinforce a changing campus identity and strengthen connections to Berea's historic core. They include:

  • A library addition with a bridge to the new student union and dining hall
  • A new science facility
  • New and renovated residence halls
  • Renovations and an addition to the Conservatory of Music
  • Additions to the drama department and recreation facility
  • An 840-car garage
  • A hotel and conference center
  • Improvements to streets and open spaces.

These projects strategically place Baldwin-Wallace among its most competitive peer institutions. Since the plan's completion, Baldwin-Wallace received federal funding to improve the streetscape and pedestrian safety at Bagley Avenue and is moving forward with new facilities for recreational sports and student housing.

Completion: 2001
Size: 106 acres
