Phoenix, AZ

Completion: 2007
Size 28 acres

Ayers/Saint/Gross has been retained to create a master plan for what is now known as the Phoenix Biomedical Campus. The site boundaries include the original 15 acres plus 13 contiguous, newly acquired acres. The scope of the new campus has increased to include a new 250 bed inpatient care facility as well as a 150 bed cancer center. The vision is to provide the residents of Phoenix with a state of the art Academic Health Campus that maximizes the translation of advances in the health sciences to the prevention, diagnosis and treatment of human disease.

The design of the campus will develop opportunities and synergies by co-locating healthcare education, allied biomedical research and community healthcare services. The plan will address the unique needs of academic, research and clinical functions while integrating the campus into the urban fabric of downtown Phoenix.
