A grade-separated pedestrian crossing of U.S. Route 29 (Emmet Street) is one of several ASG projects on this campus, which have included a Master Plan and Grounds Walk Study. With existing athletic venues and a proposed performing arts center and arena on one side of the road and a large housing and recreation complex on the other, a safe crossing for walkers and bicyclists is increasingly important. The bridge also will serve as a link to the campus pedestrian circulation network.

ASG prepared documentation of existing conditions, including storm water issues, as well as design solutions and landscaping for the bridge. Regional and local transportation agencies and planners, as well as campus users, are part of the work groups participating in the process.
