The Bryn Mawr School
Baltimore, MD

Completion: 2006
Size: 30" x 40"
Cost: N/A

The Bryn Mawr School is a college-preparatory school for girls in Baltimore Maryland. As a thank you to all those who have donated money to the school, Ayers/Saint/Gross was asked to design a donor plaque to be erected in the brand new upper school science building.

Among the features:

  • A carpenter custom made oak base
  • Original mosaic design using shaped tiles
  • Shatter proof glass with drilled holes
  • Stand off mounting system
  • Vinyl lettering

An Ayers/Saint/Gross artist was commissioned to create a mosaic interpretation of the Bryn Mawr mission.Growth of the mind, body, and spirit. The mosaic was overlaid with a piece of glass on which the donor names appear. The display was designed to be wall mounted or free standing.

Project construction was completed in a quick two days due to an upcoming event in the new building.
