University of Kentucky
Lexington, KY

As a result of the recently completed University of Kentucky Master Plan, the University of Kentucky is building new student housing at two different sites on campus - one on the south campus and one on the north campus. Ayers/Saint/Gross prepared the Master Plan as well as the design guidelines and documentation for the Request for Proposal of a Design-Build contract for this new housing.

On the south campus, the site is east of the Kirin Blanding complex, bounded by Sports Center Drive and Complex Boulevard. Three new residential halls will form the edge of the large open space.

The north campus site is on the corner of Euclid Avenue and Martin Luther King Boulevard. One U-shaped residential hall will wrap around a central courtyard.

The total open space is 8 acres, with 7 acres on the south campus and one on the north campus. Project completion is scheduled for the fall of 2005.

Completion: 2005
