This new facility replaces the outdated center and is the primary recreation building serving UMCP's 35,000 graduate and undergraduate students. The predominantly glass exterior allows light to flow inside all year for health, wellness, and recreation activities.
Aside from two gymnasiums, a running track, 25- and 50-meter pools, and weight training areas, the recreation center offers:
- Aerobics/dance studios
- Racquetball/squash courts
- Martial arts room
- Lockers, equipment and multi-purpose rooms
- Snack bar and lounge
- Retail
- Offices
An outdoor aquatic center and sand volleyball are adjacent to the facility.
