Macon, Ga.

Beall’s Hill is one of several Macon communities with beautiful historic homes but declining infrastructures. ASG was retained to develop guidelines for the revitalization of this neighborhood near Mercer College. For its part, the city provided improvements to sidewalks, landscapes, lighting, and utilities.

ASG’s guidelines are intended to raise awareness of rich architectural details for future homeowners and builders. They also stress broad urban design precedents, like housing density, and details like lamppost specifications.

The firm supplied schematic designs for specific homes and commercial buildings and developed marketing materials to advertise Beall’s Hill and other initiatives of the city’s Economic and Community Development Department.
