"We are advocates for neighborhoods’ identity, convenience, services and entrepreneurship."
ASG’s town planning process uses New Urbanism principles to relate development, quality of life, and the natural environment in communities connected to academic institutions. Our plans are centered on the pedestrian and a greater mix of housing, commercial, and retail uses.
This multi-layered process also involves extensive conversations with citizens, leaders of public and private organizations, and other stakeholders. Often, we work with them to change existing policies and development practices.
Each ASG town plan is unique, but these communities have a common quality: They can envision where they want to go and the things they value. For a college or university, this means a safe place with amenities that define a student’s experience and enhance the personal and professional lives of the faculty and staff.
