The original goals of Lafayette College’s campus plan were to improve the quality of education at the College by lowering student-to-faculty ratios, expanding laboratories and research space on campus, and maintaining constant enrollment. Subsequent meetings with the College’s leaders, administration, and trustees revealed additional goals to improve the entry and arrival sequence to campus, improve existing open space, increase pedestrian safety, and connect to surrounding neighborhoods.
