Signage & Wayfinding

University of Baltimore, Baltimore, MD

VIEW PROJECT STATS
Completion: 2008, 2010

Upon completion of the University of Baltimore’s campus master plan, Ayers Saint Gross initiated the Signage & Wayfinding Plan to enhance the campus image and clarify navigation. Proposed lantern pillars, coordinated with the streetscape improvements of the concurrent Landscape Architecture Plan, define the perimeter and create a sense of arrival. Consistent building identification facilitates wayfinding by increasing the visibility of University buildings in a dense urban setting. The first phase of implementation was recently completed.
