US Lacrosse, Baltimore, MD

VIEW PROJECT STATS
Completion: 2007
Cost: $2,620,000
Size: 7.9

US Lacrosse’s headquarters and public museum are to be situated in Harbor Point, on Baltimore’s Inner Harbor. Remediated from chromium contamination, the reclaimed landscape contains an urban plaza overlooking a playing field and the Harbor beyond. Stepped seating anchors the north side of the field for lacrosse exhibition games. Adjacent to the plaza, the Chesapeake Garden showcases native plant communities and garden-scale interactions. Mounded berms surround the playing field and serve as informal seating during games. The City waterfront promenade encompasses the field area.
