The Wildlife Conservation Society’s Bronx Zoo is the largest metropolitan zoo in the nation and a renowned center for science and education. Main focuses of the master plan are to: heighten the sense of excitement and anticipation at the four entrances; relocate the main service yard; conduct new research to reveal the campus’s wealth of attractions through clarified circulation patterns and appropriate facility adjacencies; and renew the beauty and vitality of Astor Court, the Zoo’s historic and administrative core.
