Freshman Halls II & III
Atlanta, GA

Freshman Halls Two and Three are envisioned as two residence halls containing 295 beds as well as approximately 6,700 NASF of public program. The two halls are connected by a shared basement with 5 stories of space above. The unit type will be traditional doubles typically with a few single units. The gross square footage for the project is approximately 104,000. The site is located according to the master plan along Asbury Circle immediately north of existing McDonough Field.
Freshman Halls II & III are incorporating many of the LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) standards with a goal to reach Gold Certification. The halls are designed to promote alternative transportation, reduce the heat island effect, reduce water use through efficient landscaping, maximize daylight in indoor spaces and educate the students about environmental stewardship.
