PROJECT ARCHITECT

The Arizona Studio
To reflect the regional growth and significant commitments to all three Universities in Arizona, ASG opened a newly completed studio in downtown Tempe, along Hayden Ferry Lake. From this Studio, both comprehensive architectural and regional master planning practices have been established. We are currently seeking an experienced project architect to join our growing staff. This person will be integral in the development and continued expansion of this office.

Role
The Project Architect works with the Senior Project Manager or Design Director in the development of design concepts, and coordinate concepts with the work of other architects, engineers and technicians which are incorporated into a final deliverable.

Responsibilities

  • Works on all aspects of architectural projects.
  • May focus in Project Management, Design, Construction Documents, Technical Specifications, Construction Administration aspects of Project Delivery
  • Performs a variety of complex tasks and may be oversee work on minor projects.
  • Selects, evaluates, and implements procedures and techniques used on projects.
  • Prepares and submits reports, studies, drawings and/or specifications as requested.
  • Assist the Senior Architect in developing project man-hours and planning schedule for his/her phases of the project.
  • Works under general supervision. Typically reports to a supervisor or manager.

Qualifications

  • Familiar with architectural concepts, practices, procedures, final documents, specifications, materials and construction practices.
  • Architectural Registration preferred.
  • LEED accreditation required within 12 months.
  • CSI certification encouraged- CDT (Construction Documents Technologist) as the preliminary test followed by CCS (Certified Construction Specifier) and the CCCA (Certified Construction Contract Administrator).

Education
BArch or Masters or equivalent.

Experience
Four to 10 years related experience and/or training.
